What We Believe . . .Our Doctrinal Statement

The 1689 New London Confession of Faith

The 1963 Baptist Faith and Message

What We Believe:

bulletThe inspiration, infallibility, and inerrancy of Holy Scripture.
bulletThe Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit — co-equal and co-eternal.
bulletThe virgin birth, bodily resurrection and personal return of Jesus Christ.
bulletJustification by faith alone.
bulletThe personality of Satan.
bulletThe total depravity or inability of man.
bulletUnconditional election by God the Father.
bulletThe vicarious, sacrificial, particular atonement by Jesus Christ for believers.
bulletThe effectual calling of the Holy Spirit.
bulletThe perseverance and preservation of believers.
bulletThe priesthood of the believers.
bulletA regenerate church membership.
bulletThe autonomy of the local church.
bulletTwo ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
bulletSeparation of church and state.
bulletThe reality of heaven and hell.
bulletWorld-wide missions as obligation of every church.

Confessing His Lordship: We believe that regeneration is God’s opening the eyes of the soul to enable man to see his sin (repentance) and to believe the gospel (faith). If you believe this has occurred in your life, then we exhort you to publicly confess your willingness to identify with your risen Lord by submitting to His ordinance of water baptism. If you are desirous of uniting with this church, and have previously discussed the matter with the pastor, we encourage you to do so. Those having further spiritual inquiries are invited to remain after the worship service and discuss the matters in private with the pastor.
